Micropigmentation Hair Simulation

Most men and woman with hair loss or head scars are likely candidates for one or more of our procedures. For example, if you are able to cover the thinning or bald area with makeup.

Is cosmetic tattooing permanent?
Answer: Legally, we must use the term permanent even though all tattoos will fade over time and may require periodic touch ups. Naturally, lighter colors fade more quickly than very dark or black colors but a lot depends on how well you take care of your scalp.

Scarred areas also have the tendency to fade more quickly because a scar is not healthy tissue and does

not hold the ink as well as healthy skin.

Is this a one-time procedure?
Answer: No, it can take several sessions depending on the depth of color you want to achieve but minimal sessions are all that is usually required. The number of required sessions tends to increase in cases of head scars because scars can reject up to 50% of the ink after the first session.

Do I need to shave my head?
Answer: It depends on what you want to achieve. Most pre-treatment clients who plan to hide a scar and currently use makeup for coverage or those with transplants that wish only to enhance the area do not need to shave their heads. Conversely, pre-treatment clients with bald areas might be directed to shave their heads. Bottom of Form

Am I candidate and how do I get started?
Answer: Most men and woman with hair loss or head scars are likely candidates for one or more of our procedures. For example, if you are able to cover the thinning or bald area with makeup our Artistic Hair Simulation or Artistic Hair Shading services could be ideal for you as a wonderful alternative to hair transplants.

Does Artistic Hair Simulation look natural?
Answer: Yes, if you are a good candidate and an experienced person is doing the work. If not, the results can look very unnatural since this is a tattooing procedure and is not easily removed.

How much does a Hair Loss Solutions service cost?
Answer: Most of our clients find our services to be very affordable but the cost will depend on the number of sessions required to camouflage your problem area. After weve reviewed your photo well be glad to discuss your goals, options, and cost estimate.

Do Hair Loss Solutions services hurt?
Answer: We do everything possible to make you comfortable but it depends on who is doing the procedure and how sensitive your scalp is. When done properly there should be very minimal pain similar to tiny pin pricks. For our clients with extra sensitive scalps we use a numbing cream to ensure their comfort. On the other hand, if the practitioner is heavy handed and unskilled, cosmetic tattooing can be very painful.

I have scars on my head and I wear a hat or cover my scar with makeup. Can Artistic Hair Shading help?
Answer: Yes, Artistic Hair Shading will help scars appear less noticeable and you will see an improvement. The service can take several sessions because scars do not hold the ink the same way normal healthy skin does.

I have scars on my head from a transplant and I want to shave after the procedure. Can I shave and look normal again?
Answer: This is a very difficult question to answer and will depend on the number and physical characteristics of the scars you have. It can take several sessions to hide. Some companies may say this is not a problem, but that has not been our experience. This is because some scars are harder to cover and results will vary from one individual to another. Although it can take several sessions to hide scars tattooing will make them less noticeable and our clients normally see a great improvement.

Is Artistic Hair Simulation a tattoo?

Answer: Yes, Artistic Hair Simulation and Artistic Hair Shading are forms of micro tattooing. Implanting any pigment into the skin is a tattoo by legal definition and should be taken care of like a tattoo.

What will the healing process be like during the first month?

Answer: Generally speaking, there may be some swelling the day after the treatment and the scalp will appear dark for the first few days. After that, the scalp will start to peel and flake and the color will appear light or hazy. Peeling lasts about a week and tends to be worse the first time, so you may want to wear a hat. The total healing process takes approximately 4 weeks. By then you will be ready for your second treatment. DO NOT schedule your treatment just prior to important events. If you are in the entertainment industry, the procedure can be done a little at a time so that it is not as noticeable during the healing phase. Remember, this is a tattoo and you will have to follow the after care instructions we provide you.

What if I have a problem like scalp irritation or infection?

Answer: In the unlikely event that a problem arises, call us ASAP and we will have our specialist advise you. We will then stay in contact with you until your issue is resolved.

Can I get an infection?

Answer. An infection can occur if the after care instructions are not followed. Cutting your hair before the scalp is healed, using non-sterile blades or tools, or using harsh chemicals before your tattoo is healed are just a few examples of actions that can lead to infection. If an irritation or infection occurs you need to contact us immediately and stay in contact until the issue is resolved.

Once the procedure is complete, do I need to come back?

Answer: You should check your tattoo every few years to make sure the color is looking fresh and natural.
